10th International Orchestra Camp in Luechow

In the summer of 2019, an international orchestra camp will be held again for the eleventh time in the city of Luechow in Northern Germany. Advanced teenage instrumentalists who are interested in working extensively on symphonic literature and who also wish to take part in the communication within an ever-growing Europe are invited to register. The course will be taught in English, German and French.

The literatures which will be taught include:

Ludwig van Beethoven: Leonore Overture No 3Edward Elgar: Cello Concerto in E minor, Soloistin: Alina Stieldorf
Johannes Brahms: Symphonie No. 1 C minor

The following instruments are needed:

Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Violoncello, Double Bass, Flutes, Oboes, Clarinets, Bassoons, Horns, Trumpets, Trombones, Tuba, Harp, Timpani and Percussion

The scores and parts will be sent upon registration.

The course includes daily sectional, group and tutti rehearsals which will be concluded with three concerts (Lüchow, Lüneburg/Uelzen;). The sectional rehearsals are coached by qualified teachers from Germany, USA, Switzerland and France. The orchestra's conductors are Gerd Baumgarten (Germany) and Prof. Dr. Matthew Spieker (USA).

In addition to the rehearsals, sport and other leisure-time activities as well as a social evening for all participants will be offered.

Camp participants will be housed and given meals at the police camp in Luechow. This camp is equipped with newly- furnished comfortable 3-bed rooms.

Fees
For participants = 350,00 €

A reduction is available in special cases.
